Tanfoglio Force Carry

I went to the local gun show today with every intention of picking up a CZ-75 if I could find one for the right price. Suffice it to say I did not find one. However, I did find a CZ-75 clone for what seemed like a really good deal.

I picked up a "Made in Italy" Tanfoglio Force Carry. Poly frame, 2 hi-cap mags, 2 bore brushes, and a lime green hardshell case marked "Tanfoglio" in white letters. This is not an Armscor pistol. (by the way, .40 cal.) Anyhow, all this for $310.00 out the door including taxes.

This seemed like a really good deal to me. I do not have any experience with Tanfoglio, and have yet to fire this pistol, as I just purchased today.

Anyone have any feedback on this? Good buy, average buy, foolish purchase, etc. Really nice finish on this pistol, slide seems really tight Oh, am just curious, do any known LEOs carry this pistol?

Fratelli Tanfolgio has been making firearms for many years in Italy.
Tanfolgio pistols have been imported to the US under the name TZ75, TA 90, the Springfield P-9, Witness, and now I see Force, the actual name they are made under in Italy. Good solid pistols, owned several over the years. Good deal for a good gun - holsters made for CZ should fit, but get them semi-boned. An alternative will be rigs for the Glock 19.
No, I don't know of any law enforcement agency in the United States that either issues or allows the Tanfoglio pistols for duty use, sorry.

I just purchased the "witness" in 9mm that comes with a .22lr converter. The 9mm shots consistently low right, but the .22 shoots spot on and is far less finicky about ammo tha my advantage converter for glock. I need to deal with the sight issue on the 9mm, but overall I am pleased for the price I paid. ($525, including converter)

i had a witness .45 wonder finish compact. good shooting gun but heavy. sold it last summer. for some reason they don't hold re-sale value.
