I’ve been looking at Tankers holsters and not being impressed with the thin leather and cross body straps involved.
I had some pieces of saddle leather and some heavy cotton strap and went at it.
My stitching is errant as it was cold in the shop. I had a wee dram of Dewars to stave off death.
I put a heavy belt loop on the back. It carries very well.

Thank y’all for the positive comments. Lest you worry that I have substance abuse issues, I am Scots/Irish, my leather stitching wanders even in sobriety. However, once the vaccine is a done deal i have an invitation from a real leather smith to learn and train. I have plans to up my game this summer if all works out. More later

I'm from some of those Scots that had some Irish sneak over into the wood pile too. Funny thing is I detest all Scotch whisky but find Irish whiskey to be pretty good stuff taken in moderation.. While you are waiting on the vaccine thing and working with the leathersmith look up Al Stohlman's books on all things concerning leather work, stitching, lacing, etc. They are reasonably priced and will tell you everything you need to know. I'll put in a plug for a place to obtain them just because he is an individual selling leatherworking products and a really nice, helpful, guy even though I can't even remember his name. Go to sdtradingco.com and browse around.
