I almost bought one at the Indy gun show. It had a out the door price of $470. The Gander Mtn. store here in Ft. Wayne has them for $499.From what little I have read about them they seem to be a nice gun.Anybody here own or shoot one? I think I'll probably get one , but I would like to hear from some owners. For the money it looks to make a good starter 1911. .Mark

Ive got one. Nice guns, particularly for the price. Some have complained about the finish not being tough enough (perhaps true, mine looks ok) and some have complained about primer over-strikes/miss-strikes causing potential blow-out (mine doesn't seem to be an example). If you're in the market for a base 1911 and plan on putting some of the enhancements on yourself, then the PT1911 is a good alternative.

I have one. Over 4000 rounds without a problem. The PT1911 comes loaded with things you would have to have a gunsmith do to most other 1911's. For the money, this is one fine pistol. Yes, the finish wears easily & didn't like the factory grips. Other than that, I can't find anyother reason not to buy one.
