Taurus 617

I am the proud owner of a Taurus 617, and am looking for some good concealment holster options. I prefer SOB, but any IWB will do. For all you 617 owners out there, any help will do. Thanks.

I'd recommend a smart carry size medium. That's what I am going to carry mine in when I get one (my next revolver purchase , you just made up my mind). I find that revolvers carry remarkably well the smart carry.

I will follow up my origional questions witha second one. My 617 currently has a standard hammer. I would like to have it bobbed, or have a concealed hammer put in. Will Taurus do this type of work for me? Or will I be forced to trust a gunsmith. It is not that I don't like gunsmiths, it is just that there aren't any good ones that I am aware of in my local area. Again, any help will do.

Is your 617 blued or ss? If blue, i would just go ahead and get the hammer bobbed. Should be difficult for them to screw that up and they can blue the part to to roughly match the rest of the gun. Then you could lift the hammer with the trigger and cock using the nubbin left on the hammer.
