I have had one for about 15+ years. Never had a problem with it, it always goes bang. I do wish it was one of the newer ones that can handle +P. Sorry I don't have a pic.

85 SS UL. Very good for the money. I trust it, but I have had it since 2001, qualified with it at 25 yds, and run several boxes of ammo through it.

If it ain't Titanium, the high 200's and low 300's is a fair price. Titanium models run another hundred more. I would advise to stay away from them because they tend to seize up depending on what kind of ammo you use. The non-Titanium models don't have that problem. Why pay more for a gun that is less reliable?

I bought this steel model 85 about 5 or 6 yrs ago. Not my everyday carry gun because I'm not a big fan of snubbies but do use this one for weddings, funerals, church functions and such, when around more predictable people. . Nice little gun and conceals extremely well in a IWB holster. I keep this one loaded with Rem +P 125gr Golden Sabres.

The gun that is always with me, wherever I might be, is an all steel Taurus .38 special +P.

Mine is uncannily accurate; I can hit half liter water bottles at 20 yards 100 out of 100 shots, time after time.

Taurus all steel model 85, don't leave home without it.

The Taurus 85's in Blue List Price is $390 so if you are seeing them for $400 it's way too much. You can find them NIB for ~$300 in most shops. Used M85's in almost new condition shouldn't run you more than $200/$230. Of course I'm going by prices in Northeast PA. Prices will vary in different parts of the Country.

I liked mine so much I bought two more

My very good CH and excellent 3" cost $150 a piece used. My like new blue 85 cost $170. All bought between five and ten years ago

I've had an all steel one for four or five years now. I love it.

It shoots really well, especially for a snubby.

The only problem i ever had with it was that the screw for the cylinder release kept backing out.

I lock tighted it and havent had a problem since.

Good gun.

I bought one for my wife a couple months ago and wish I had one for myself.I paid $300 for it and it's a model 85 ultralite.

my girlfriend is in here at the time looking with me and she wants one like this :D
