Nice Kimber, I have the same model. Great pistol, great accuracy, superb reliability.

I also have a RIA G.I. model. It shoots really well, you can't go wrong with it. I use Wilson 47Ds in all my 1911 pistols. Using the Wilson mags it will shoot anything I feed it.

I ask this in a Taurus thread before, (and no Taurus owners responded) I will ask now. For those who have actually witnessed Taurus customer service, what has your experience been.

The one problem I had with mine was fixed by a local smith (the gunshop I got the gun from took it to him instead of sending it off). When I bought the thing I didn't intend to ever send it to Taurus unless something major (frame, slide, or barrel) was wrong, simply because it would take so long to get done (even those with no complaints about Taurus report 3+ month turnarounds). With a quality local smith, it's easier for me to just take it to him and replace internals than send it back.
