I just got a Taurus PT 58 S and after I got it I reilised the safety is doing nothing but blocking the slide forward I can still pull the trigger and fire it.
So I don't know if there is a part missing or if something is broken
does anybody know what would be wrong? the PT 58 S DAO

Do you know for sure it will fire or is the trigger just being pulled? There are several of guns where the safety block the firing pin and unlocks the trigger mechanism from the hammer or striker but the trigger can still be pulled. The gun however will not fire with the safety engaged.

Read your manual again regarding the safety system. If it isn't functioning correctly then send the gun to Taurus and have them fix it under their lifetime warranty.

The safety in the upward position should block the trigger from functioning. The original PT58 had no de-cocker function. The later PT58 has a three-position safety lever. Up is safe, locking the hammer and slide, middle is fire, and down is spring-loaded and de-cocks the hammer.

Yours is not functioning properly, and should be repaired. It's also a used gun, evidently, so there's no telling what has happened.

yeah A we tryed it with the safety up and it did fire which did not help the slide where the safety blocks it, but it did fire even though the safety would not let the slide travel backward

you say that Taurus has a life time waurenty? I got it at a show so would they cover that?

I've never had the opportunity to try out Taurus' Lifetime Warranty but have read that it will be honored even if you are not the original owner.
