Just bought the 6.5-in. barrel version for some plinking and pest control. Unlike other revolvers I've owned, the cylinder is a lot longer than a .22LR shell. Haven't tried, but I think it's long enough that a .22WMR would fit. The gun isn't marked for .22WMR but is heavy and very robust. The manual is a joke and says nothing either way about magnums. Has anbody tried them in one of these?

So they must be larger in diameter than .22LR? Didn't think of that - have never messed with .22 magnum .

Yes, .22 Mags are larger in diameter. A .22 LR uses a heeled bullet that has a case the same diameter as the bullet. The magnum is more like a standard cartridge where the bullet is seated inside of the casing. A .22LR can be fired in a magnum, not recommended, but it will usually split the case due to the difference in chamber dimensions.
