Texas open carry?

Texas has passed and the govenor has signed the open carry. I know that it requires belt or shoulder holster. Early on I heard that it would require a retention holster. Does anyone know if that is a part of the final law?

It requires a belt or shoulder holster; but does not require a retention holster (although IMO, that is a must if you are going to open carry in an urban/suburban area).

New licensees will receive training on handgun retention.

I confirmed that the requirements for open carry in Texas does not require a retention holster. Although we cannot open carry until January 1
