I was at Walmart picking up some ammo a few minutes ago and noticed that their gun case was empty. The sales manager stated that all Walmarts in Texas had halted gun sales due to a message from coporate headquarters. There was no reason given in the message.

I checked one of the the cross town Walmart and they had pulled their guns off the shelf also. I don't know if this is temporary or not and was wondering if one of the many Walmart employees had a line on this.

BTW- This may be local but they also had 50 rd WWB 9mm for $7/ box and Remington Green Box .40 S&W for $7/ box of 50. That is a pretty decent deal for factory ammo.

Maybe if people bought guns there it would work. The standard plan though has been to move all the firearms to only one Walmart in the region and sell something more profitable at the others.

This is nothing new, they are limiting the sales to rural areas and dropping back to ammo only in all the others. This is not anything new and actually it started at the beginning of the year. May actually help the little guys stay in business who stock more than cheap firearms.

Okay will this is kind of a state wide thing so they said and I am already in a fairly rural area. Besides sales were quite robust at the Walmart in question so this is kind of strange. The sales manager also seemed to think it was temporary.
