The Colt New Frontier.........

I recently bought this .45 Colt 7 1/2" New Frontier on Gunbroker. Was wanting a 5 1/2" but at the price........



So I dropped the gun off at Keith Warner's for a little work. He limbered up the action, and cut the barrel back to 5 1/2":

Hey Bob, does having the shorter barrel give you a better looking sight picture?
My 7 1/2" .44 Special NF (with standard sights) has a lot of daylight around the blade.

Always thought that a 5 1/2" might 'fatten up' that front blade in the in the rear sight.

Nice I like NFs . FWIW the Eliason sight drops right on one of these for a great upgrade.
