In my personal opinion, "field pistol" is a made up genre intended solely for the FK BRNO.
I thought it was something like the concept of the "woods gun" until I looked it up, but that's not what it is at all.
If I were into that sort of thing, I already have a stainless .357 mag Security Six with a 6" barrel. It's really not even close to the same thing, but I have better things to do with $8000.
The caliber is really weird: 90 grains at 2000 fps. That's really light and fast for a pistol. I bet you could get pretty close with adventurous loads in 7.62x25 or .357 sig. A .300 blk or .30 carbine "pistol" could do it too.
