Just watched this movie again (one of the best of all time, btw, imo).

Lots of guns & shooting.

The most prominent of course is Clarence's snubbie revolver - to me, it looked like a big bore - SW 629 perhaps?

What about Vincent Cocotti's pistol used to whack Clifford Worley - looked like an HK P7?

What else? What was the subgun used by the crazed pony tail bodyguard of Lee Donowitz?

Get this, taken from the "Trivia", found here:

Following the "eggplant scene", Dennis Hopper was concerned about being "shot" by Christopher Walken with the prop gun so close against his head for fear of being burned by the barrel. Director Tony Scott assured him the gun was 100% safe, and even tested it by having the prop man fire it against his (Scott's) own forehead. But upon firing the prop gun the barrel extended about a third of an inch and Scott ended up on the floor with blood pouring from the wound.

 WTH? How does a barrel "extend"? Do you think that maybe - just MAYBE - the blank fired a blast of hot gases into this dipstick director's head, just like the blanks DO, and just like the one that killed Brandon Lee, and a bunch of other careless people over the decades? Dennis Hopper, smart. Director, notsomuch.

Oh yeah, duh! :D

Guess the revolver was a 66, not a 629.

Edit, wait, no! Apparently Clarence used both a 66 and then later DID have an N-frame in the form of a 625; cool! Coulda sworn it was a big ol boy.

In any event, I guess that imfdb renders all such discussions unnecessary here on THR. :( :(

I STILL love the Walken/Hopper "eggplant" scene..."long distance swimmers from North Africa"...yah that could be a few of my paternal relatives!

Walken confessed on the Actor's Studio that he is terrified of guns. When he was in a movie with Penn where he was shot he said he almost wet his pants.
