It's been a while since I've been a member of the NRA, but I still get their "junk" mail on a regular basis. With my renewal of interest in firearms and shooting (I basically went from 1994-2004 oblivious to what was going on), I've felt the need to keep myself a little more updated on what's happening politically. Recently, my company installed new internet filters ( http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=165802 ), and websites that I've been going to for years, are now blocked. Today, I went to the NRA's website to do some more checking.....It was the last straw....
I can go to the NRA's homepage, but I couldn't go to the page to rejoin. I was getting a little ticked at this, so I decided to go to the "Contact" page and call the NRA.....Grrrrrrr......Dernit to a really hot place! I can't get to that page, neither. Both pages come up as being blocked because they fall under the category "Politics/Opinion;Weapons". So.....I did a search for their toll free number and called the NRA and rejoined.
Looks like I may have to write a letter to someone at work.
