I'm sure we've all experienced this, stumbling across a great deal only to find you're a day late and a dollar short. Just recently (5 minutes ago) I missed a 9422m XTR, in excellent condition, for $300...:banghead: The same guy has a pre-64 in 32 spl for $450...I offered $900 for the pair only to find 22m already sold.

Yep. This was a half dozen or so years ago. Saw a nearly new NRM Colt 1911 with at least a dozen mags for $500. Didn't have the cash at the time. Still think about that one with some measure of sadness.

SVT-40 sold at the BigE gunshow last year for $450 about ten feet away. Saw it, was turning around, and somebody the guy was talking to already had his wallet out.

I was at a gun show last year and some guy had am M1A Socom with 6 mags for $600... To bad I only had $400

Been MANY years back, but i missed a super deal on a MArlin 336 in .35 Rem...guy needed $40 for it, and I only had $36 in hand. By the time I hit the bank and came back (5 0r 6 minutes, bank was next door), gun & guy were gone...another guy was buying .35Rem ammo

Too many to count. The latest was a very nice CZ 550 in 9.3 that I waited a day too long to get.

But YESTERDAY one DID NOT get away--an M28 Civil Guard rifle with the bicycle/ski stock for a nice price. Snagged it right away.

I don’t know if this counts but I had a Tikka Lite Hunter in 308 that was recalled. I sent it in and they sent me back a NIB Sako (can’t remember what model) in 22-250. I didn’t want a 22-250 so I called them up and got the right firearm. What I should have done was sell the Sako. It was probably worth two Tikkas. I still kick myself over that.
