what will be it's primary purpose? If hunting/plinking I would go very light, for this heavy weight. a nikon 2x7 would really be good, or find an old classic Weaver, 4 to 6 fixed power. for target shooting, the more massive the better, i still like any of the weaver line here, and to be honest , the Tasco Varmint series, in 6x24, hasn't let me down yet, and I have 3 of them. Mueller is also tough to beat, and a nice bushnell 3200 or 4200 would be great as well.
their is a guy On here, I think Uncle Mike, that has some closeout Intensity Optics scopes, and they are quite good as well.

We have em' but by the time we ship it to you, you would be better off to get them from 'The Sportsman Guide'...they have some smokin' good deals on these Intensity scopes.

from one of my previous posts.....

For a plinking rig, get something that starts in the 2 or 3 or 4 power.
Right now the Sportsman Guide has some Intensity brand(ATK/Federal) scopes on sale...2.8-10X44 and the 3.8-12X44 Adjustable Objective, both with Aspherical lens systems and the 3-10X44 and 4-12X44 NON Asperical lens units for excellent pricing.

All are 1" tubes.

I think they are from $50 to $90 based on the model, and are made by Weaver.

We have sold many, of these scopes and have had zero complaints with them...everybody seems to love them!
