I won a rifle last year, a Tikka M695 in 7mmRemMag, stainless synthetic. I sent it out to the smith to get rebarrelled into a 375-338WinMag. Problem is, it appears that the bolt is assembled wrong.....but 1)why would the smith have disassembled it in the first place, and 2)why wouldn't he have checked to see that was properly assembled before he shipped it back to me? The rear of the bolt is 90 degrees out from where it should be, not allowing it to clear the back of the action. I can't for the life of me see how it is possible for it to be like this, unless it was taken apart. Wouldn't the smith have to properly close the bolt in order to check the final headspacing when fitting the barrel? Anyways, it's late...I'm gonna try and get a hold of him tomorrow and see what I need to do to get it rippin'. Elk and moose season is ON as of midnight tonight, and I wanted to start building some loads and get this gun shootin' this week.......can't wait.
