Its been about 4 years since I made it to my first machine gun shoot. Plans are coming together for me and a friend to be there in a few weeks. Anyone else planning on attending this fall's shoot?
Since neither of us have any bites on our threads (your was first ), I'll bite. I'll be there on Saturday. Don't know exactly when yet, but hope to include some of both daylight and night shooting.
Yep, planning on going. It'll be my first time to the creek. Bringing 4 novices with me. Can't wait. Hope the weather is fit. Anybody tell me what the weather typically is like there this time of year?
Is that this weekend already? Crud, and I'm outta town....:banghead:
Eh, well, I can go before/after the shoot, when the residuals are still there. Part of the fun of living in the same town as KCR .
Weather's kinda mushy/rainy, semi-cold. But, then again, Louisville's weather is very messed up. Bring stuff for rain, and for a blisteringly bright day.
Or you could just check the weather station's predictions.
A warning for the new-guys--it's crazy, and parking kinda stinks. That aside, welcome to my "home turf" .
Welcome to the Bluegrass State. The weather for the Fall shoot or gosh even any of then seems to ge sunny with about 3 inches of mud from a gully washer earlier in the week.
This weekend is supposed to be wonderful, Front coming thru on Wed. slight chance of showers, then Low 70's and sunny for the days, clear and mid 50's for the evenings.
Y'all have fun and you're novices will never forget their first machine gun shoot.
I believe I'm gonna be there Friday the 13th with a couple of co-workers. Will be the first one I've ever been to. It's not getting here fast enough!!!
The Freak Show is moving down on Tuesday, and the tent will be on the top side of the road in our usual place (we're maybe 50-60 yards from the deer stand. I'm bringing a portable Coleman shower to try out... The Knob Creek Shrine will be there, and possibly a co2 pumped keg.
I'm making up a few t-shirts... Stop by the Viking Machine table, and check 'em out...
