Hogdon's website lists 4.0 - 4.8 gn of Titegroup for a 230 gn LRN. I use 4.2 over a Missoursi Bullet Company 230 gn "softball". This bullet is listed at 18 Brinell. Although I have never run huge amounts through it, after 75-100 rounds, I have little to no leading in the barrel. It took me over 300 rounds loading in groups of 25 to get these results changing charge weights and powders common to the 45. It was frustrating shooting just 25 rounds and spending an hour or more trying to get lead out of the barrel. This is out of my Taurus PT1911.
