.... to end all bling

If I were to become super-loaded beyond my wildest dreams I might buy this just to have in my collection. That's if I had already bought every other gun I could possibly want, and that's a crapload of guns. Ha! A gold Pancho Villa Colt. Wow.

So does this pistol have any historical value or did somebody just decide to do this on their own? Kinda looks to me like a "tribute" work.

I'm not a fan of gold guns....but that one is quite nicely done. May easily be worth the opening bid if it was engraved by the Colt Custom Shop.

Clearly, what this pistol needs is some alumagrips, beavertail, a commander hammer, an extended safety, a full length guide rod, night sights, and some front serrations machined in there.

Actually though, like was said, if this is an official Colt Custom Shop item, it could be quite a prize for collectors out there. I mean hell, people spend thousands of dollars on baseball cards and old comic books, so why not?

I truly don't get why someone would do THAT to a gun! :fire: That is the most horribly gaudy and tacky piece of garbage I've seen in a very long time.

If I somehow acquired that weapon I'd melt it down and put the poor thing out of it's misery.

Hang a pair of fuzzy dice under the barrel, mount a statue of the Virgin Mary where the front sight post goes, and hang that puppy in a low-ride holster and you'll be good to go.

Muy Bueno

Maybe we could take up a collection here and pitch in and buy this for El Presidente Vincente Fox. It would be kind of a thank you for the gift of all the illegal aliens he's sent us. It'll be our way of assimilating into our new Mexican culture. Hablas Espanol?

BTW Pancho Villa was an outstanding man! A Mexican national hero, no less. Just ask the folks he butchered in Columbus, New Mexico. I think there should be a whole series of extra gaudy pistol celebrating petty thugs from Capone to Villa and such all the way up to the truely evils bastards like Hitler, Stalin, or Pol Pot.

I may put a second on my house so I can buy this treasure.

Gaudy? Yes. My kind of thing? Definately not! That being said, it's a heck of a piece of work. Looks very well done. A lot of skilled hours were spent engraving that piece. I'd have to call it an impressive piece of the engraver's art.

I agree. It is "TRULY" a "MAGNIFICENT" piece of "ART"

And it comes with the "GENUINE" mumified finger of Pancho Villa which "MIGHT" have actually "FIRED" a .38 super if Villa had "GONE THROUGH TIME" through a "WORMHOLE" and kicked my "HIND END"

Because the whole premise is astonishingly stupid and has nothing to do with Pancho Villa? That's not to say someone won't buy it.

Not a fan of gold on guns, but if that's your thing, OK. I love nice engraving, though...But that's just so over-the-top...well, I'm speechless.

This may sound weird, but it actually kinda makes it look cheap. Not sure why, but I think it may be because it looks like it's trying TOO hard to impress.

I saw a Taurus PT92 yesterday that was black with gold controls. And I thought THAT looked bad. Downright classy next to this one though.
