I forgot to post about this after it happened, but I figured I'd do it now. A lady that works with my dad mentioned that she had never fired a gun...ever. She said that she wanted to wait until her daughters were home from college so they could go as well. I was hoping that they'd be hot, as I'm single and in college. Turns out, they were both REALLY HOT. One of them especially...I was glad that I had mirrored lenses, because otherwise I might have gotten in trouble. Anyway, mom and the two hotties both shot a good bit. Started them off on my Ruger MkII, then went to a .32S&WL 3" J-frame. After that came the 4" .38. Then the Sig 228, then the same 4" Smith but with .357s in it. Before I let them fire any of them, either myself or my dad demonstrated so they could observe the recoil and decide whether or not they wanted to fire it or not. Every time they wanted to shoot. Finally, they shot my Pro Carry in .45acp. All of them were pretty good shots, especially the super hot one.

I went over basic safety first, of course. Then, before firing any of the weapons, I went over the individual safties for each weapon. I explained the difference between SA, DA, DA/SA, etc. I tried to make it simple since they were newbies, but they weren't dumb so all was well. They brought a digital camera, but I didn't take any pics with mine because it would have been weird (for me) to take pictures of the HOT girls while their mom was right there. So no, there are no pics for you guys  One of the girls looks like the blonde that went crazy on the first season of 24. The other looked exactly like the super hot, super toned and fit lesbian from the Real World/Road Rules Challenge...Rachel maybe? Anyway, it was a good day. They had a good time except for the cold, which wasn't bad IMO. They're not the first people I've introduced to the sport...I think they're numbers 10,11, and 12 or something.

Just letting you guys know that I'm burdening myself with the procreation of the discipline :D

I hope a good majority of those taken out to the range in these stories end up supporting gun ownership rights by first, learning safe handling and shooting, second, making a purchase (or two), and third, by becoming NRA members.

wasrjoe - not a slip, that was intentional...I figured it was the best word. Better than "furthering" anyway LOL

NRA members? Ehh...okay.... I prefer GOA. Yes, they were taught safe handling and shooting. Purchasing is another question, as the hotties both live on campus. The mother may buy the S&W 31 from us, but I'm hesitant to let it go because it's so...pretty :scrutiny: I'm all about function as far as firearms go, but that Smith was purchased just because it was an old one (pinned bbl from the 50s) that was in fabulous condition. I have no real use for it, but I don't wanna part with it. I've had several offers for more than I paid for it, but none worth taking. Finish is about 95%, though it's obvious that it wasn't fired more than about 6 times due to the lack of a turn mark. Paid $200 for it, private deal. The accursed thing is what started my wheelgun desires...now I need a 686+ and a 625 REAL bad :uhoh:

Good job. We should all be requried to take a newbie to the range at least once a year.
We should also be required to take cameras. ;)

gotta be GOA and NRA.. NRA's kind of lenient sometimes, but they have strength in size.. GOA is no holds barr, all guns are the ???? philosophy.. which is the best IMO. :D
