Traded in my Winchester

Traded in my Winchester Model 70, 7 MM Mag toward an old stock NIB Ruger 77 Mark II 7 MM Mag.
I just did not like the synthetic stock, now I have a nice looking rifle with a wood stock. Now I am happy.

I'm just about to order a stock from Boyd's for a Model 70 for the same reason. I don't like the synthetic but my wife bought it for me right after we were married and didn't have much money. I could never trade it in or get rid of it.

We all have our likes and dislikes. As much as I hated synthetic stocks in the beginning I find they are a thing of beauty and I prefer them over wood. For one thing only my wood stocked rifles have had bedding issues and are effected by the humidity. Scratch a synthetic stock and you won't cry.

Ultimately if you can't stand them I can understand but I prefer them over wood any day.
