I bought a Bergara wilderness summit in 30/06 . Thinking about the Trijicon Huron either 3 x9 or the 3x12.Anyone use these scopes?Trying to get user feedback. Thanks Bob

I went ahead and ordered the Trijicon Huron 3x12 40 mm scope. Once I receive it and mount it I will give my thoughts on the Huron line.
Im quite curious about the hurons. Been hoping someone i know would buy one.
I tried an older trijicon hunting scope (cant remember the model) and wasnt hugely impressed. Not that i remember it being bad, just not as good as i was expecting.

I have a 3-12x40 Huron. Image quality is good and controls work smoothly. It appears to be a well made scope.
I haven't had it very long but so far it has done well. Some day, when I have more spare time, I would like to make a few side by side comparisons with some of my other scopes.

I have stayed out of this because I don't have a Huron.
FWIW a few months back I ended up buying a .308 when I was looking for a 5.56 (don't ask). So I needed a scope that would be a capable 600+ yard solution. I got influenced by the Rokslide forum and decided I valued durability. At the same time my older brother (who is more experienced and has deeper pockets) was in the Swarovski, Kahles, Zeiss camp. He thought I would be a fool to consider anything else.
I bought a Trijicon Tenmile. To add insult to injury, my brother didn't have a .308, went out and bought one, just so he would have a reason to reload ammo for the both of us. It was his birthday, so I bought him a Tenmile to thank him (against his wishes).
Suffice to say he has bought another since then. He freely admits he can't find a better scope for the money (which I think sorta pissed him off).
If the Huron is anything like the Temile you will appreciate the attention to detail in packaging. You will appreciate the extras that add significant value. You will appreciate the durability and repeatable tracking. You will be pleasantly astonished at the brightness and quality of the glass for the price point.
Disclaimer; Eurooptic had them on closeout for a great price. List was about 2.5 times what I paid.

Thanks guys. I received the Huron about a week ago . I tried low mounts but hit bolt while cycling action . Waiting for medium’s. It looks nice looking outside. I will report back after I get it mounted and sited in .very clear view. I believe I will really like it . Thanks Bob
