Latest info after the Black Hole booth at SHOT Show...
The owners of Triton found out pretty quickly that you can't run an ammo company in Wall Street fashion, with no employees. After the last one left for a job at Glock the plant shut down. They hired an outside salesman to try to blow out as much ammo as possible. Places like Cheaper Than Dirt and gunshops in Florida and West Virginia bought the bulk of the ammo and then began blowing it out at below dealer prices.
The owners then went to an ammo company in FL (Precision Ammo) in an effort to get someone to produce the ammo for them. Instead negotiations went in the direction of Precision buying Triton outright. All of Triton’s production equipment, raw materials, etc. were moved to their facility in FL. If the deal went through you should be seeing the Triton brand back out there.
The question that is left to be answered is what will the quality be like? I am not familiar with their products. Only what their website shows. Maybe someone on this board has heard of them or tried their ammo out.
