Hi everyone. I'm relatively new to gun enthusiast scene. I have 3 guns in my collection right now. A Hi point C9 9mm a random 20 gauge single shot and a Winchester .410 single shot. Got the two shot guns from my Dad's attic last time I was in TN. And traded a cell phone for the 9mm. I have a lot of fun when my buddies and I go to the range, but I quickly realized I want to add some "good" guns to my arsenol.
I've pretty well made up my mind as far as a shotgun goes. I have decided on a Benelli Nova or Supernova 12 gauge. I've shot my friends Nova and fell in love with it. And I've heard and read that the Supernova is even better. Just depends on the deal I find I guess.
As for pistols. I'm generally happy with the Hi point, sans the last round jam I get on every magazine I put through it. Although I only have one 8 round mag for it. I'm wondering if the spring in the mag is not up to snuff.
So I'm looking at two pistols both auto loaders that I'm trying to make the best choice on. One being a Glock 22 .40 cal. I put 10 rounds through a former FBI agents G22 and loved every second of it. And I'm wondering if I should drop the $479 on new one that a local gun broker has? Or....
The other is a Beretta 92FS 9mm. I have found one that I liked very well but haven't fired. I've tried reading what I could find on it and I found an article that said Beretta had an issue with slides breaking and hurting the shooter. Is there any truth to that? I always though Beretta was a well made and reliable gun. But the price I found on it was $379 (it's used with no visible wear).
The other issue I have is the fact that I already have a 9mm and would like to have a .40 so I'm leaning more toward the Glock. But I wanted to get some feedback on those two.
Any advice would help.... Thanks in advance.
