Uberti Revolver: Need some info & value please! (Pics)

Greetings all,
I have inherited this Uberti single action revolver that I am probably going to sell, as I don't have much interest in replicas.
To my knowledge, it is a Cattleman Thunderer in .45 Colt caliber.
Like many Uberti's, it has a case-hardened frame, with a deep blued 3 1/2'' barrel and I'm not sure about the grips (wood or plastic). (Pictures Below).

I've shot this gun a few times just to "try it out" and it is in Excellent condition with the original box & some papers, and works great. I looked on the Uberti web site and one of these is around $539 not including tax, FFL fee, etc.

My questions:
-Is there a market for Uberti Cartridge Revolvers similar to mine? Or is it a waste of my time to put this one out at the gun show?

-Any idea what I can expect to get for this gun in a private sale setting?

-I have these unique grips that do not match the ones on the new models on Uberti's web page:

They are checkered almost all around and feel like plastic, but have a glossy-looking finish.

Any info or help would be much appreciated!

Looks very nice. The Grips which are on it look good...and appear to be Checkered Walnut.


Probably 'Gunbroker' would be a good venue for selling it.

Would have to go to or through an FFL on the receiving end of course, do make sure you are hip on the laws.

see what buffalo arms is asking for new ones maybe to....If its not a cimmaron import and a reg uberti it'd be worth a lil less in my opinion.

Thanks, it is a nice looking gun and I think the grips are walnut also.
I think I will put it out at the gun show, and if that doesn't get anywhere, I will try gunbroker. Don't worry, I'm hip on the laws.

I checked buffalo arms and it seems they only want $459 for one of these things new.
I believe mine is a Cimaron, at least it says so on the box.

it looks like a Uberti. I had one for a short while in 357 mag. Paid $500 for it. These are popular if you are around any Cowboy Action Shooting clubs, especially the 45 Colt.

I love the birdhead short barreled single actions. i own a ruger birdshead vaquero. I bought three guns reciently, otherwise Id be interested in yours.

Cowboy clubs in your state. They list the match dates. Each will probably shoot once a month.

unless you really need cash out of it, if im stuck with something i cant see my way out of in a cash manner i try to trade it for something of equal value that i want privately. I got my Cimmarron Uberti Model P by trading a M77 Ruger for it. Paid 450 for the M77 and the Model P was bout that new so i traded even though the model p was "used" but hardly worn out. So maybe i didnt get rich off the deal or come out the best but i got rid of something i didnt want in turn for something i did that would have cost me the same had i bought it new.

Side note Cimmarron is just a importer that imports more refined and better crafted guns made by the same people. A cimmarron like yours is still a Uberti but of a higher grade. Cimmarron is the only italian replica importer that i trust to not sale crap, but maybe others have a different opinion.

According to that page, these are like $600 new? Of course mine isn't new, but it's in EX condition, maybe I could get $500 out of it? I have the original box and papers.

Whenever I go to gun shows and see something I like, I almost always ask if they will trade. I'm going to need to set up to sell some reloading supplies and other stuff, I'll probably just put this out, then use the $ on something more collectable, like a 1917 Colt or hand-ejector S&W.

That sixgun probably didn't cost more than $450 brand new. So figure on $300 to $350, as long as nothing is wrong with it. Not only is there no cylinder ring, which would indicate mishandling, there are not even any marks in the bolt notch leedes. Doesn't appear to have even been shot or handled much so you 'may' be able to get $375-$400 out of it.
