Nice save, the new stock is beautiful. The old configuration looked like a hack job, the new one looks really nice.

The original was a typical "econo sporter" from back in the day - cut down the original stock & call it done.
Had a couple I did myself, plus they were offered commercially for a time.

I still have a 7.35 Carcano. Paid #11 with a scope way back when.
Cleaned up the wood & reblued it with a monkey Wards $10 blue kit. Cut the barrel down & installed new sights
Picked up reloading dies, brass & bullets.
Didn't take long to lose interest in it .
Still have about 50 new brass not loaded
I do miss those rebluing kits a lot more than using the gun
