Ultradot Red Dot on 10/22

Any reason I would not want to put a Ultradot 30 red dot on a ruger 10/22 .22 caliber rifle? Are the ultradots primarily for pistols only? It is just going to be a fun shooting, fast target aquisition .22, that I am building up but I want it to be accurate too. The new stock and hammer kit will be in tomorrow.

I see more BSA's and Bushnell's on the rifles.
