I am so pleased with my 45/70 I want more!
I am going to purchase another frame and barrel however I want something unique like 25/20 Winchester. Anyone bought an odd caliber or custom shop caliber they really like?

Details please...

I don't have anything really unique, but I have a custom 9" .357 Magnum barrel for my Encore.

Really tames the hottest loads!

You have to register to read or post, but it's free and it's the place for single shot shooters.

Match Grade Machine makes my barrels:

25-20 is a great little caliber and has a following among single shot fans. Check out MGM's caliber chart for other ideas.

If you like the big stuff get a .411JDJ. .444 Marlin necked down to .41 caliber. Simply awesome! .30 Herrett is really cool. 10MM in a contender is great. Check out the SSK industries site, too many options to choose from.

7mmTCU. I got it for shooting IHMSA, then bored of the game, but still have the barrel, dies, and stuff. Very accurate, shoots flat, would make a good hunting caliber. It's one of those small for the bore case volume jobs that is very efficient with faster powders and inherently accurate. The TCUs were designed for the IHMSA game. The 7 with a 150 match king bullet carries a lot of momentum on those 200 yard rams.
