I have posted some results in Handloading about my new found load that shoots good in the gun, but I have to give the Hogue grips some credit as well. I put the Hogue grips on my SBH in .44 Mag, and the gun is way more controllable now.
I am shooting IMR 4227 @ 22.0 grains with a MO Bullet CO 240 grain LSWC. @ 20 yards today open handed and a 5 shot string I was able to put 3 into one hold, and two into another about 1/2" away. The three were in the X ring, and the others of course were in the 10 ring.
I think there might be hope for me and this revolver after all. I know some do not think the Hogue belongs on the SA revolver, but I like it. It is not as attractive, but looks do not put food on the table. At least not for me.
So if you have a SA big bore with the smaller wood grips, and are having troubles with control. For $18 you could resolve your problem. Not much at all for the gain you get.
