Let's see...I purchased some bulk 9mm and .357sig ammo at Galyan's last night. This morning, I got a few more boxes at Wal Mart. Will probably buy several more at the range tomorrow as I'm breaking in a new Sig.

Oh, I'll be buying a TON of Georgia Arms that a local shop ordered for me next Monday.

Only Wal-Mart asked for proof of age. Nobody recorded anything. This was in the neighborhood of Kennesaw, Marietta and Woodstock, respectively.

No ID required here except .22's at wal mart and all they're interested in is date of birth. When you're 50 years old they don't even ask.

Jim you may already know this but Oakland CA has long required registration to buy ammo:

Jim, to the best of my knowledge I have NEVER had an ammo purchase recorded in either CO or WY, and in point of fact can't recall ever being ID'd either. If I was I am sure it would have been in CO.
