Saw my first US Firearms 1911 the other day and was wondering if anyone knew anything about them?

I have see quite a bit about USFA Single action revolvers, but very little about the 1911 recreations.

Just wonder if anyone had any first hand experience.

Why would you pay $1800 for a year-1911 reproduction Colt when you can get a Colt-manufactured reproduction year-1911 for $1100?

Yes, very cool..

And I have been told that they can be had for far less.

Just wanted to know how much, if any, MIM parts. Is it truly built on Colt pattern equipment, etc.

I know it is expensive, and I love my Colts. Just wondering.....

They build a wonderful SAA, is this of the same quality?
