Anybody have side by side or comparison pics of both? I have searched the archives and read lots of good info here on both, but would like to see some pics. The way their web sites list them, the Glock is .04" longer, and .04" wider, same height. Anybody tried to conceal both? I've also read where the flat mag floorplate on the USP9c makes it much easier to conceal.

Any other comments you have on these two fine weapons are welcome as well.

I do not have any pics of them side by side, but I have owned both. Carried both and settled on the Glock. Sold the HK and bought another 19. Both are excellent guns. I liked the Glock NY1 trigger better and I did not have to manipulate any safety. But the HK was a smooth shooter, so you can not go wrong with either. BTW, the HK is typically $150 or so more than the Glock.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know I'll pay more for the USP. I need to go handle them both at the same time and see what I like better. I do like the external safety in a carry weapon (I know the safety should be between my ears). If I go G19, I will probably pursue the heavier trigger pull.

Anyone with comparison pics?

I don't have any pics but my former carry gun was a USPc 9. My current carry gun is a G32, same exact size as a G19. They both conceal well and I can't tell any noticeable difference while carrying, if anything the Glock is actually slightly better.

My experience is almost the exact opposite. While there is much I actually prefer in the USPc, for me, the ergonomics (primarily the grip) of the G19 are far better. The USPc flat does not fit my hand or point as well as the G19 which, for me, is always the deciding factor. Both are too chunky to be ideal for concealment (at least for my build).

You are asking for what is, at best, very subjective input. What works for me may or may not work for you. The best bet is not to rely on the internet for advice but rather to get out there and handle them--see how they feel to you.

Thanks to all for your input.

I will definitely not solely rely on internet opinion, I will handle both and make my own decision. I was mainly asking for things that I may not think of or realize - such as where I read that the extended mag floorplate of the USP makes it tougher to conceal.

It's good to hear that it doesn't seem like people have experienced a big difference in carrying one or the other.

I own the usp40c and have handled and shot the compact glock offerings side by side with it.

The grip circumfrence is smaller on the usp (better fit for my small hands).

The mag floor plates come in 2 configurations--one with a finger rest and one without. I keep the flush mag in the gun and the finger rest mag for reloads when I CCW this pistol.

I like the feel of the usp better. That's why I own it. You're on the right track--play with them both and see what works for you.

One thing I alway noticed about the glock--and this was with several thousand rounds through my g22--it always pointed low for me when I brought the gun quickly and looked for the sights. The usp pointed much more naturally.

Just my 2 cents and what you might expect from a guy with my user name:
