Need some advice.

I have a new in the box unfired and unturned Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt with the 7 1/2 inch barrel.

Low serial number:45-011X

The gun is still in the original wrapping paper, in the BKH-45 yellow and black box, and the box is still in the original factory cardboard shipping container.

I purchased the gun around 1973, cleaned it, wiped it down with Casey's Sheath preservative, and put it back in original paper, yellow/black box, and cardboard shipping box.

It's been in a climate controlled safe ever since.

I'm considering selling it while I still can, given the new President's attitude toward "reasonable gun control."

Questions are: What is a reasonable price to ask, and are there any Texas collectors interested in a face-to-face transaction?

PM okay if interested in purchasing.

You can see if there are any CAS groups in the area, I know that I use Blackhawks for my shooting and there are people always looking for the older rugers. I'd say try on the SASS website but you have to be a member to sell or buy.

I am one of the frequenters of the Ruger Forum and I've been around Rugers for a little while. If I were putting it on an auction block, I would start the bidding at $700. It will go up from there and no telling where it would stop. You would need one of the Guys with a RENE guide book for a aftermarket value price.
