Four weeks from application too holster; this is what happens when you leave it up to your local Sheriff. South Carolina's was twelve weeks plus, through the state police.

They are required by law to issue within 30 days in Washington. I was told to come back in 10 days to get mine but didn't get around to it for three weeks. The paper work was stamped with the date and time they had approved the permit. Mine was 5 days after I applied. My wifes was approved the same day she applied.

I renewed mine in Feb. in Yakima.
I got my new one in the mail about 3 days later.

I think I got mine in the mail 8 days after applying in the great state of WA.

Dont look at Texas right now. From sending in your Application to receiving your plastic youre looking at about 150 days.

Supposidly as of Sept 1st, anyone at the DPS can do the background checks for CHL's. So far it appears things are being done quicker as many people on the texaschl forum have reported getting their applications completed and in larger groups.

I just renewed mine in Silverdale. They did it while I waited. Took about 15 minutes. 5 years ago when I got the first WA CPL it was 5 days from application to my mailbox.
