The local Wally World here in Colorado is no different buying ammo than the local gun shop. Just cheaper. A lot cheaper. They carry a large selection. I can even get my 223 WSSM there.
I like the store and the employees.

I despise Wal-Mart, especially the one here in Hampton, it's beyond ghetto. Those that have been there know what I'm talking about. Their only redeeming quality is that they sell 100rd value packs of WWB .45ACP for $19.97 or so. The only thing is, they're usually out of them when I go in there :banghead: I can't find anyone who can beat that price, so I'll continue to look for good deals on ammo there.

I'll admit ammo is cheaper at Wal-mart than my local gun stores, but if I can make the trip across the river to Harrisburg, I'll hit Gander Mountain ($9.99 for a 50-rd. box of .45ACP).

We have a very nice, new Wal-Mart just around the corner but I don't usually buy ammo there. The best deal in the country, hands-down, on 9mm ammo is over at Academy Sports and Outdoors so I get that there usually by the case or half case, I get my .38 and .357 ammo for free from my uncle because his dept. has a surplus and no one shoots .38 or .357 anymore, I usually stock up on my .30-06 ammo at gun shows or Academy (for target shooting that Korean made surplus shoots great out of my 700 BDL) and I have enough 12 gauge ammo to last at least another year.
