Walmart 's Savage 110 and Remington ADL combo

I dropped by yesterday to see what they have and they sure have the two models with factory installed cheap scopes . All were in .270s . THat tells me thats one best selling caliber in State of Texas. ! I got a Remington 25 06 BDL already. Looking at those prices it s tempting to have another hunting rifle .

Savage 110 black composite stock priced at $ 385 plus tax . It has the accutrigger , too. The scope i think is Simmons and not worth a damn thing. So blurry and fuzzy glass.

Remington ADL in their new composite stock with Remington scope at $445 plus tax. The scope is quite clear but i dont know if it holds zero.

On the other hand , i was asking if they have Savage Mk 2 FV or BV model rimfire rifles and they dont. THey have the Savage semi auto rimfire only . Then theres woodstock Marliin 925 in .22 mag and 17 HMR (bull barrel)were also in the shelves . Both priced at $195 and $225.

Ours has the Savages and I'm sure the Remingtons too. They have usually either 30-06 or .270 on the shelf depending on the Walmart but when I asked about it they said they had several other calibers in the back. While the Simmons scopes aren't as clear as many of the $2-300 scopes and up the ones I've seen have been pretty clear and looked decent for what it is. IMO those Savage package deals are one of the best deals on a center fire rifle out there even if you do throw the scope away.

Ill second the notion that the 110 is worth the 385 by itself.
