Anyone have a lead where I might be able to possibly deal for a walther P5? Gun sites I've looked at were sold out or their prices were on the extreme high side, thanks

P5

About the only place to find one is a gun auction site. Expect to pay between $450 and $550 for a used one. NIB run just over a thousand. It's one of the guns on my wish list and have been watching them for a while, missed on one about a year ago that when for $375, I kick myself every time I think about it.

I agree, begining to feel I would have better luck finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!! lol

Took me several years to find mine but with a lot of patience I found a near new one for $350, of all places at a gunshow:)

Not fair to taunt a person with pics and no offer to sell!!! LOL

Walther P5c

The compact P5c are even harder to find. About 4 years ago I sold mine with four magazines to a shop in Tarpon Springs FL.
Unless you are a serious collector of things Walther you may be disappointed. Fine trigger, 8+1 capacity but pretty thick and heavy compared to a PPS.

A search for "Earl's Repair Service, Inc." brings up the Walther website for which they are dealers. It shows the P5 as an order item, though I can't say if it's actually available, even if you wanted to spend $1500+ for it.

I owned one for a short time in the late Eighties. It was okay, accurate and reliable and such, but the double action reach was a little long for my short fingers. The thing I really didn't care for on mine was the poor machining on the receiver above the trigger guard (much worse than the pics in this thread). It basically didn't do anything better than other things I already had, so it went to someone else with no regrets.

Speaking of, took to the range on Friday. Accurate, recoil negligible, with no hiccups...Damn, it is sweet....I paid top dollar, IIRC, about $550 from GunBroker...I haven't used the holster, plan to order my favorite type of holster: Yaqui belt slide..P.S. It is a brute of a pistol compared to my P-1...
