This is a question that came to mind in another post of mine. Its really not that important but I was wondering if it's possible to find an extended barrel with compensator for a walther p99 like they offer for they're p22 model. I doubt the compensator would do much good on a 9mm but personally I think they look really good. I hear the one on the p22 is actually just a weight compensator but the added barrel length can't hurt (especially since the p99 is suppsed to be tack driver accurate anyway). The bottom line is that I can't really justify getting one but this is America and explanations aren't necessary :D (at least not yet)

I've seen compensators and extended threaded barrels for the P99 but none of them fit the frame and slide contours like the one on the p22. I've looked everywhere and haven't found one yet but maybe you've seen something I haven't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DO NOT MISS THE INCREDIBLE WALTHER P99 TA (TACTICAL ASSAULT).

P99 TA - a model prepared for the police tryouts in Baden-Württemberg in 2002, featuring a single/double-action trigger with redesigned trigger guard, center location ambidextrous decocker and an early ambidextrous slide catch as well as the removal of the "captured" accessory rail in favor of a standard "open" rail system. Lastly, this model has new contours on the lower frame just ahead of the disassembly clasp, just before the accessory rails to facilitate holstering. [2]. Approximately fifty (50) P99TAs were produced with less than 25 sold to the public (10 imported to the U.S.).
