I am wanting to order a K-31 Schmidt Rubin rifle. I have looked at a couple of online wholesalers (AIM, J&G Sales, & Samco), but can't decide who is the best one to order from. It looks like at one time Samco had some of these rifles that were available in excellent condition, but it looks like very good is the best available now. First, does anyone know if anyone has any K-31's that are available that are in excellent condition? Second, does anyone know if there is going to be anymore K-31's imported in the very near future? Most of the websites say "no more are going to be available", but usually they seem to get some more in at about the time that they sell the first batch out. Does anyone know if this is still the case? I will be willing to wait for a new batch to come in if it means that I will be able to get a rifle in better condition. And last, does anyone know of any other wholesalers that have the K-31 rifles in stock at a reasonable cost?

I have never been disapointed ordering from AIM.

It is rare to find a K-31 with excellent condition wood. The stock is often beat up, but the metal may very well be excellent condintion.

I would say the last one I got from AIM had near perfect metal, but the wood woud rate about "good".

It shoots great and thats all i care about.

Try allans-armory.com. He doesn't have a lot on hand at a time, but lists each one w/pics. That way you can see exactly what you're buying. He also has what is probably the most honest description offered by anyone. He sends them in a hard guncase. Only charges something like $12 for it(you HAVE to buy it) and is good insurance against damage. An honest and reliable dealer, I've gotten a couple from him and have always been satisfied. Greg

Ditto on allans-armory. I have not bought a Swiss from him, but three Swedes and his descriptions are right on.

Classic arms used to have them at good prices, I bought a few there when price was around $80.

Simpsons ltd usually lists quite a few with multiple pictures. The ones shown are generally of better quality with accompaning prices.

All said, I would look to Allan first. If his site is closed, wait a while. He is a one man operation and does take off from time to time, and his wife has had some medical problems so he was closed for a couple of weeks last year.
