" Case forming dies usually need to be made to smaller internal dimensions to compensate for more spring back, because the case dimensions are being altered to a greater degree. Different brands, different specification i would guess"
Form first then fire. I have case forming dies, after forming I do not have a chamber the case will fit because the forming die is designed to form the shoulder at a more shallow angle to prevent the shoulder from folding AND the case tapper is less than the tapper on the full length sizer tapper, so the dimensions of the forming die are larger than the dimensions of the full length sizer die. And the shoulder is too far forward when formed.
And the instruction read something like: After forming the case must be full length sized before the process is complete.
And I believe the most over used phrase in reloading is 'spring back', when fired the case shrinks, when sized the case pops back out?? I give zero thought to case recovery, memory and spring back 'in' or 'out'. Spring back is not the bugger bear.
