Welcome home bro.

[gun related content]
Did you decide if you're going to cut your FAL down?

Well, we'll see. I'm almost certainly going to carbinize it. Gonna call DSA today and see what they can do to it.

NICE TO BE BACK! Celebrated by buying a shotgun...

The downside? One, I didn't save up nearly as much money as I should've. And two? Heh...my car broke. The back wheels don't, you know, roll. I don't know cars, but that's probably important... :uhoh:

Little things like car trouble should not detract from the wonderful feeling of making it home in one piece.

So I hope you have some fun, and don't freeze to death up there...

:D

Call the number on the boot attached to the tire...

I hope you didn't drive it all the way home from Qatar that way...

Welcome back!

Everything in the "world" is a down hill slide, after living 24/7 in the world of jazz in the hot zones. Screw the car, your home, and able to dance. welcome home soldier !!!

Welcome back. Regarding the car, in long term storage, break pads can become stuck to the rotors. The fix, put it in gear, forward or backwards, whichever way is clear, rev the motor, and pop the cluch. Something will break, most likely it will be the lock of the pads.

Hmmm...

Seems to be some confusion. I spent a year in Qatar as a contractor, a security guard, actually. I've not been in the military since...oh, 23 June 2004, actually. (Well, does IRR count?)

Appreciate the welcomes nonetheless. I've been home for more than a week now. By the end of the day or tomorrow my car should be operational again, and once my computer arrives hopefully I won't have to rely on internet cafes for net access anymore.

Having a harder time adjusting than I'd imagined I would...much on my mind.
