Welding win 94 tang cost?

Going to take my win94 to a shop soon to see about getting the broke tang rewelded. It the broke right behind the hammer so broke noth sides. Any idea about how much a repair like tbis would cost? I dont want to walk into a shop with a blank check. Just a ball park. Thanks jim

just got ahold of a gunsmith, $20 to have it migs while I wait! So after work tomorrow, I'll have it welded. The locking block came in this afternoon and thats installed. Just have to find a front band for a octogon barrel and a magazine tube. jim

I've got a feeling that MIG weld is gonna be nasty. What is the vintage of that gun - pre or post 64?

I had the thing done this afternoon. $20 and it was tig welded. The rifle is a 26" octagonal barreled winchester 94. I looked up the serial number and its made in 1915.
Anyone know where I can order a front band? or is it called the magazine retainer? it fits in the dovetail under the barrel. Ive looked on line and everything I find looks line the number 8. I think what I need is a circle with a dovetail on top.
