A little off topic...
Why do some LEOs fear being shot by someone who discloses they have a CCW/CHL/LtCC and tells them exactly where a handgun is within their vehicle or on their person? I can understand being nervous, but if an actual criminal is going to kill a LEO they, generally, aren't going to have a CCW nor are they going to be truthful and admit they are arm, rather, they will just come out shooting. A CCW holder is generally not going to be a threat to a LEO.
Another point, in Missouri, and perhaps other states, we are allowed to carry a concealed handgun in our vehicles, if you are 23 years old and over, without any license or training required. With our state highway patrol, county sheriff department and municipal LEOs knowing this, what few dealings I have had since our CCW law passed here a few years ago, I have never been asked if I have a firearm in my vehicle. However, knowing that the LEOs in my area have itchy trigger fingers and an out of proportion startle response I never volunteer the information because it would only put them closer to a "shoot to kill" mindset and I don't volunteer information as a SOP. I suppose as long as you don't have a CCW the LEOs must think people are unarmed even though we legally can carry loaded handguns in a vehicle without one and I do.
