I have an extra Ishapore 2A from 1965 that i may have to sell to put towards another project. I used to see lots of them on the market, but not so much any more. What are they going for on average these days? This one has matching numbers, no big stock repairs and a good bore. Plus the metal finish looks original and worn and not overpainted with gunky black stuff.

I sold my 7.62 Ishy to a gun store about 4 years ago during a money crunch, and bitterly regret it. They gave a little over $100 for it.

I have been keeping my eye on the Ishy's thinking I might get another, and it seems that their value is steadily increasing.

Guns in the high $100's seems to be the average.
Some online auctions have them listed upwards of $250, some even almost $400 but I am not sure if these are moving.

I am expecting to spend at least $200 for one by the time I make room for another rifle.

But, then again, I am no expert.

Seen a few more lately at gun shows/shops.

Saw a beater this weekend for $150, the bore looked good though (had my bore light with me). Same table saw one that looked like some one cleaned it up and the wood and metal was VERY nice for $225.

Here are some better pics. It does not look as if it has been refinished like some of the others I have seen. the stock is not shiney, I had ballistol on the rag I wiped it off with...

Just my $0.02...

Plenty of us are reporting sub-$200 prices on recent Ishapore 2A sightings and purchases. Mine is in very good shape and was only $165 late last year. I think that if we shooters and collectors want to continue to be able to afford milsurp rifles, we should not tolerate the gross overpricing that some dealers seem to be getting away with. The day somebody forks over $250 or $275 for a rifle that cost $165 yesterday, we all take a hit on future gun purchases.

Float Pilot, I am certainly not trying to sabotage your sale here. I believe in charging what the market will bear and making as much money as you can. I just wish the market wasn't willing to bear so much... :)

I've been buying Swedes lately, To replace the ones I sold 5 years ago...... So I know what you mean.

This is weird how sometimes it will let a photo work and otehr times it will not. It is probably this new Vista program... what a piece of work that thing is...

Float Pilot - Prices are running 165.00 to 175.00 and they are not moving too well. It looks like the market has matured which is good for us collectors. Two moved on auctionarms.com, very nice ones, for right around 125.00 last month. I wanted one of them for my son but the seller had drilled and tapped them for scopes so I was not interested. In my opinion I believe anyone asking more than 175.00 is looking to snag an unsuspecting newbe. Unfortunately we seem to be seeing way too much of that recently.
