Enclosed hammer j-frame revolver. All chambers loaded.

I can never remember what the "conditions" are. All my guns meant for defense are carried loaded.

Taurus 605 Revolver- loaded
Beretta 92- loaded, safety on

A gun that is not fully loaded and ready to go at a moment's notice is little more than a bludgeon or throwing object. ;) My carry gun, regardless of action type, is always fully loaded -- both magazine and chamber -- and stays that way unless I plan to clean or dry-fire practice with it.

d/a revolvers are full,AMT backup, seecamp and HK p7psp are carried +1 all ready to grab n go.

I either carry a revolver with all tubes ready or striker fired autos ready to rock. Don't carry my 1911 that often these days, but always carried it one in and hammer lowered, never put much faith in lever style safties.

I carry a Taurus Mil-Pro 40, its DAO. I carry safety off with a round in the pipe.:D I'm not concerned about an AD because with this gun, it takes a long, deliberate trigger pull to fire it.

I always carry with a round in the chamber. With a good holster and some common sense everything will be fine.

Unless SIG has introduced an SAO version of the P229, it is not mechanically possible to carry a P229 in Condition One. I do want an SAO P229! A decocker-equipped SIG is either Condition Zero or Condition Two; a DAK P229 would be Condition Two only. Condition One is hammer cocked, safety on, chamber loaded. Condition Two is hammer down, chamber loaded. Condition Three is chamber empty, with loaded magazine in place. Condition Zero is chamber loaded, and no manual safety applied, with the hammer at full-cock. Pistols that are semi-prepped for firing, with the striker partially cocked, muddy the water a bit, but I would say such pistols are not capable of Condition One or Zero, and are closest to being Two. (Kahr, Glock, and such) My duty pistol is a DAK P229, so as I indicated above, Condition Two. I don't think the Conditions of carry are directly applicable to revolvers, because the chamber under a lowered hammer is not the one that is first up to be fired, but my DA revolvers are fully loaded, and my SA sixguns have an empty chamber under the hammer, except for the Ruger, which is safe to carry fully loaded.

SA- cocked and Locked
SA/DA0 Hammer down on a chambered round (there is some evidence that having the safety on can prevent someone from using your own gun on you should they take it though)
DAO -same as a revolver hammer down on a loaded chamber

S&W Snubbie 686-all cylinders stoked with .357 125s or SIG P-226 front pocket carry (after Summer's heat is gone), 1 in the breech and 15 in the magazine, hammer drop deployed and ready to go.

S&W 4516 1 in the pipe safety off. I remember before getting my HCP seeing a picture of a cop laying on the ground dead with a S&W in his hand safety on. Apparently in the heat of the moment he forgot to flip it up.

Depends on what I'm carrying. My 1911 is cocked and locked. My Sig P226 is hammer down on a live chamber, Taurus Mill Pro is live chamber with the safety off.

Isn't a 226 a little big for front pocket carry? It seems that a holstered 226 would be a little big for that.
