Unless SIG has introduced an SAO version of the P229, it is not mechanically possible to carry a P229 in Condition One. I do want an SAO P229! A decocker-equipped SIG is either Condition Zero or Condition Two; a DAK P229 would be Condition Two only. Condition One is hammer cocked, safety on, chamber loaded. Condition Two is hammer down, chamber loaded. Condition Three is chamber empty, with loaded magazine in place. Condition Zero is chamber loaded, and no manual safety applied, with the hammer at full-cock. Pistols that are semi-prepped for firing, with the striker partially cocked, muddy the water a bit, but I would say such pistols are not capable of Condition One or Zero, and are closest to being Two. (Kahr, Glock, and such) My duty pistol is a DAK P229, so as I indicated above, Condition Two. I don't think the Conditions of carry are directly applicable to revolvers, because the chamber under a lowered hammer is not the one that is first up to be fired, but my DA revolvers are fully loaded, and my SA sixguns have an empty chamber under the hammer, except for the Ruger, which is safe to carry fully loaded.
