This article, "Guns & Mothers" to Air on PBS; Second Amendment Sisters Spokesperson Featured in Documentary, states: "Frances Davis, who lives in Brooklyn, NY, lost her three sons to criminal violence between 1987 and 1993. Davis apparently wants to ban private ownership of guns, "Gun control, we do need it because I really feel that average citizens really should not be armed.†Ms. Davis is somewhat disillusioned with the so-called "Millionâ€-Mom March, as she stated on Mother's Day 2001, "Last year, last Mothers Day, there was a big hype and everybody was talking about the Million Moms March and going to Washington. Well, it's one day and it's over, then you go back to your communities and nothing happens."
It's "over" because of the nature of feelings that Ms. Davis has talked about. The Million Moron's game plan is fueled by and relies entirely on feelings, opinions, hype, misinformation, misunderstanding, ignorance and outright lies. Ms. Davis and the Million Morons have not yet posed the question (nor do they WANT to): "What do "feelings" have to do with the Constitution as written?" Feelings have nothing to do with what is written. The MMs strategy is to whip the masses into such a frenzy over the “danger†of private ownership of guns, and bringing pressure to bear on the government that Congress will do literally anything to keep them happy, and thereby letting them keep their jobs.

Feelings are completely and by their very nature subjective, therefore subject to change. They may change every minute, but the Constitution was written to preserve liberty in the time it was written as well as for future generations. I have not read of Ms. Davis' misfortune, nor do I know any details, but the fact that her sons are now in their graves may be testament for the preservation of the 2nd Amendment as written. What Ms. Davis needs to know is what one President said of our Constitution:

"Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." ~John Adams, second President of United States.

Putting it another way, if a society (individual flesh and blood humans in that society) refuses to be bound by the rules of decent, law-abiding behavior, neither the Constitution nor any other body of laws can make them tow the line. The only thing that need happen for the Constitution to become just dried ink on parchment is lukewarm Christians to raise immoral children, who in turn produce amoral children.

Our "modern" society has raised a generation of vipers: unable to tell right from wrong, no sense of shame, no conscience, no absolutes, no values, no direction, no purpose, dishonest, vicious, illiterate, uneducated, unthankful, willful, bent on destruction, and all between the ages of somewhere around 6 to 18 and up. Doubtless this amoral spawn will produce more of the same, and they are not encumbered by an obligation to sanctify these illegitimates by the benefit of Holy Matrimony. Can God help us or bless us when we've unleashed these unholy wretches upon the world, the fruits of our own disobedience?

According to the 1913 Webster Dictionary the word "immoral" is defined as: "Not moral; inconsistent with rectitude, purity, or good morals; contrary to conscience or the divine law;"

The Million Mopheads as a group have been manipulated and used by the femin-nazis and others who have axes they want ground. They are, if you will, a "front" group, for a much larger, but behind-the-scenes political movement who only gives us a 'sneak peek' at what their agenda is from time to time. But we don't really need to know all of it. We know what they want. But that's another issue.

The matter before us is whether or not we will let the "controlled left" and the "controlled right" enabled by a biased, Marxist Media, have their way and succeed in taking steps necessary to the removal of our 2nd Amendment rights. These rights, given by God Himself, are essential to liberty not only in our nation, but around the world. Much brighter minds have stated this far more eloquently than this writer. The breadth and depth of published research regarding our Founding Fathers’ thoughts on the 2nd Amendment is phenomenal. But even more phenomenal is the profound machismo the gun-grabbers exhibit when pronouncing the Founders’ disdain for firearms. This exceeds the bounds of credibility!

Ms. Davis, like the MMs, is a victim of her own ignorance. She, like so many in our nation today, is not concerned with the facts about our nation’s history, purpose, or design. Ignorance of history dooms a people to repeat their error. To study the past, and learn from it, will arm those so inclined for the purpose of liberty.

Patrick Henry said it best: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!"
 
Feelings generate public opinion, which sways lawmakers, and sometimes even creates amendments to personal liberty (Prohibition for example).
Feelings even affect the judiciary. How else can you explain federal gun control laws?
When no one accepts anyone else's standards as a basis for behavior, then "feelings" are all anyone has left to guide their behavior.

I've been sending small, but frequent contributions to the N.R.A., the N.R.A.-I.L.A., the N.R.A.-P.V.F., and the G.O.A. a long time, and expect to continue to have to do so the rest of my life.
