I guess I don't know, I wonder if that could affect the amount of windage and drift adjustments you would have.

It got two good reviews on midwayusa.com, but from the sounds of those reviews, they are based only on the appearance of the scope....
I would have given 5 stars but it hasnt seen the durability test, 50 cal muzzleloader! Says etched reticle for heavy recoil! I will find out soon because season is starting soon!

I would question a review of a scope when the reviewer has yet to actually use it. Though perhaps this will give you an idea of the scope's fit and finish.
 
i might wanna try one out since it doesnt cost much anyway. i mean, i would never have to worry about the reticle shifting at all.. unless the glass somehow breaks..

Poster #6 is dead on. Cheap is just that. Cheap. It could depend on just what you are using it for , but the fact is it is still cheap. You will grow to hate it. Sooner or later.
The real name of the game here is you get what you pay for.
I am not saying you need to buy a $1500.00 NightForce scope.
But $60.00 is , well , a $60.00 scope.
If you shoot a lot or even just now and then but want your scope to work every time you do get the time to shoot. I would get a better one.
#6 has it right.

These cheap scopes are the worse thing for a beginer. They will fail you. And you could become discouraged by then.
 
Yep, what they said. BSA is widely considered so much junk. Optics are one of those things you really can't skimp too much on, though there are budget deals to be found. That list above from DnPRK has some good examples, and I would add some of the Pentax line, also some decent glass for the money.

Having the reticle etched into a lens is common manufacturing practice these days, nothing at all special about it. And yes, it's a good thing, more durable & all that.

But, having an etched reticle is no guarantee of either quality or durability concerning anything else about the scope except the reticle. In other words, it can have an etched reticle & still be a hunk-a-junk. With a scope in that price range, I'd consider the H-A-J factor to be right up there.

Depends on which monkey they used to do the etching. One of them is just a trainee still, the other one is a well trained monkey.

You can skimp all you want on optics. There are plenty of people on THR that will tell you a $100 scope performs just as well as a Nightforce. Besides, all you need is someone to agree with you for you to be right, right?
 
simple, "If it says, BSA, then run away!"...
trust us, oh yeah, there will be a few dudes here who say, ' I've had BSA's for 184 years, and they allways worked just fine!". They are the exception to the
BSA rule. I gave them a chance, not once, but twice... TWICE!!! Never again.
