What do you use to clean your pewpews

This is a video I made showing what I have. While doing it I realized how bad a shape some of my brushes and jags were. Time to resupply. How about yours...

Mainly 1-piece SS rods of appropriate size/length, coupled with pierce jags or nylon brushes. Cotton patches and assorted chemicals.

Basic cleaning tools for me. Along with Hoppes #9 or Kroil. Brass brushes and jags. I do have a couple bore snakes. My only one-piece rod is for 17 caliber.

Hoppes #9 (old formula), Kroil, Octagon Process gun solvent. For oil, I use CLP (old formula - Breakfree, not Safariland), Mil-spec oil, Outers (probably from the 60s), Tetra gun grease, RIG gun grease, etc. I use coated one-piece rods, cable pull-throughs, and swivel stainless pistol rods. Brushes are a mix of new and very old (wrapped in 0000 steel wool) bronze, SS, and nylon. I have a good bit of the old GI "toothbrushes" and use them for scrubbing. I also use dental picks and q tips to get all the gunge out of my gear as well. I use old cut-up cotton T-shirts for patches and blue shop towels for heavy wipe-down and cleaning. I have a Marsh ink brush that's full of Break Free CLP I use to give everything a wipe down.

I own guns. I clean them with solvents when appropriate, usually Hopper's #9 or Sweet's 7.62 Solvent. I use Dewey one piece rods, I do have some sectional rods, most for deep cleaning shotguns for plastic buildup.
I lubricate with several products, CLP being the most used.
By now you might guess my opinion of the term pew pew.

For smokeless I'll use either Hoppes or Clenzoil and occasionally some JB Bore Paste for bores with a lot of cast lead through them. For black powder, Ballistol exclusively.

I keep it as simple as possible. WD-40 or Ballistol for powder fouling, Chore Boy on a brush for lead, and Sweets for copper. After decades of fooling around with all the miracle potions, I haven't found anything better.

I use MPro-7 in all my guns. It doesn't have a bad after smell that my wife complains about. When testing it, after cleaning with Hoppes I ran a few wet, then dry patches of MPro and dirty patches kept coming out.

I use a brush then clean patches for my centerfires and uses a bore snake on my .22s sprayed with a little cleaner and then a few drops of oil.

I have older Outer sectional brass cleaning rods for rifles (22 rod and a .30 cal rod) as well as one piece for hand gonnes. I also have a stainless rod which is used with a bore guide. There's a pull through or two too. I avoid stainless brushes and prefer brass.

I have moved on to Tipton carbon-fiber rods (after 63 years). Incredibly strong, non-sectional, and won't scratch.
And, just what is meant by "pew-pews"?

Hoppes #9 and Mineral Spirits for solvent and Hoppes oil for lube. Cotton patches, bronze brushes, and an old Outers cleaning kit of needle eye patch holders, 22 jags, and an aluminum 3 section swivel rod round out the items. Oh, and an oil cloth made from some scrap flannel from my daughter.

Hoppes no 9, still have a couple of small cans of issue bore cleaner from the 50s that I think I’ll just keep. Cotton patches, brass brushes, aluminum rods, ( pull through for field use) still have some Sears gun oil and some early 69s SOOK an experimental lube that works well on my long guns, and, last but not least Lubriplate 130a …. Yes I AM OLD CORPS and old school….ooorahhh

When they get a deep cleaning (very rare), Hoppes No. 9. Why fix what aint broke?

I like using ballistol lubes and cleans at the same time. On stubborn stuff Hoppes 9.

Yeah, carb cleaner is great stuff! Brake cleaner too. A lot cheaper than branded gun sprays.

Anything like what someone in a fairly recent post called "parade rest", concerning their cleaning process?

Pew-pew is a term for firearms developed by manbun and skinny jeans wearing hipsters who own firearms, but know little about them. Their range targets usually look like shotgun patterning targets.
It is very hard to take anything anyone who says "pew-pew" in connection with firearms seriously.
