My wife's first gun was a Star Firestar 9mm in nickel. It was very compact, and fit her hands well. It was a steel frame and was a bit heavy. The biggest problem was the it was ammo senitive. It was starting to be a jam-o-matic.

One Saturday she went with me to the range. The department I worked for was going to allow the deputy to carry privately owned Glocks for duty, so a rep from Glock was at the range with all the models and all the ammo. She got a hold of a Glock 23 and loved it. :D She actually asked the rep to sell her the sample gun. :D

The next week we sold the Firestar, and found her a like new Glock 23 with Trijicon sights. She is rarely without it.

Now if I could get her into AR-15's.

She carries a Kel-Tec P-32. Tried to get her to trade it in on a P3AT but she wants none of it. She also has a 4" sts GP-100 by the bedside.

ruger sp101 23/4 in .357 mag, loaded with .38 special 125gr jacketed hollowpoints and 2 speed strips for reloads. she says speed loaders are "too bulky". Who could argue.....when she's armed like that?

a walther p22. she hurt her wrist a few years back and can't take the recoil of anything else.

My wife carries nothing, and after 25 years she still does not understand why I carry everyday.

Well, I carry a 40!

Used to carry a 45, but when Sig came out with the P239, it fit my hands well, so got it in 40 cal. Still like the 45 though, might go back to it. Hubby carries a 45 Sig! Time to go holster shopping again! ;)

What I carry depends on how I feel, and what I'm wearing that day.(You gotta have accessories!:p )
It can vary from a .380 to a .45. Usually it is my Warthog .45 because I can wear bulky sweaters/ shirts over it.
I haven't found a good way to conceal one of my .44 magnums yet.:D :what:

My wife carries a 9mm Taurus Millennium. I offered to buy her a baby Glock, HK or Sig but she picked it out herself and insisted that that’s what she wanted. She shoots well with it out to 20 yards or so.

My wife carries:

Her purse...and My credit card.

And she's alot more dangerous with that credit card than any firearm!

Lady Smith

Wife started out with a S&W Mod. 37 air weight. That was too small . Next was S&W 6904. Could never get used to the grip. One day she picked up a 3913 Lady Smith and that has been it for the last 5 years. Now she has fallen in love with the Kimber Mini Raptor. Got to love a woman who knows when to up gun to to a 45 . :what:

One of three pistols.

Over 90% of the time she's out of the house, she has a Kel Tec P11, either in pocket or clipped in waistband. She really likes a Kel Tec P32 but seldom carries it. She won't let me swap her my P3AT - - says it hurts where she had hand surgery. The P11 is broad enough so that she can shoot it quite well without pain. Go figure - - -;)

And ANY TIME she leaves town to visit relatives, she packs a Colt Officer's ACP, usually in a Galco holster, plus a spare magazine. The P11 goes along as well.

Since I retired, my usual pocket carry is an Airweight Chief's. I joke about my spouse being better armed than I. :p

Best,
Johnny

My wife carries two concealed Visa's, A Mastercard and American Express. Her belief is that a strong economy driven by consumer spending will solve all the worlds problems!!

Her car gun is a .357 smith three inch ladysmith limited, and her purse gun is a taurus 9-shot untra light .22 (because she can't take any more recoil in an ultra.

As much as I would wish for a .357 or .45 purse gun, things are what they are and 9 shots of stinger should be better than a set of car keys.
